We are on East Main Street between Greenfield and Higley, in the plaza with parking directly out front. If you know Falcon Field or Red Mountain, you are close. Coming off the 202 or the US 60, it is a short run either way.

Open 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week. Last wash goes in at 8:00 PM. An attendant is on the floor from 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM, which is also when drop-off runs.

The neighborhoods we see most

East Mesa fills most of our floor. Las Sendas and the Red Mountain area to the north, Dreamland Villa, Apache Wells and Sunland Springs to the east, and the stretch of Main Street between us and the Apache Junction line.

We also get plenty of people from central Mesa, Dobson Ranch, and out toward Superstition Springs, generally because they have something large to wash and their own machine will not take it.

The mix here is unusual and it shapes the place. East Mesa holds a very large retirement population alongside young families, and both are in the building at the same time on a Saturday morning.

Mesa water is hard, and your laundry knows it

If your towels have gone scratchy and your whites have drifted grey, that is not your detergent brand. It is the water.

Hard water leaves mineral deposits in fabric with every wash. Over a couple of years towels stiffen and whites dull, and most people respond by adding bleach, which weakens the cotton and makes it worse. The actual fix is proper detergent dosing and a softener, which is why we vend Tide, Clorox, and Downy on site at $2.00.

It is the single most useful thing to know about doing laundry in this city and almost nobody gets told it.

Weekday mornings are the quiet hours

If you get a choice, come on a weekday morning. Between opening at 6:00 AM and around 8:00 AM is the quietest stretch of the week, machines are wide open, and the attendant is on the floor.

Weekday afternoons after 2:00 PM are the next quietest, though you are into self-service hours by then. Saturday between 9:00 AM and noon is the busiest window we have, every week, without exception.

From October through April the winter population lifts traffic across east Mesa generally. Mornings still clear out first.
